Yes, the Caribbean cruise was fabulous, but you’re so glad to be almost home. As you drive north on Little Neck Road, your blood pressure eases a bit and your anticipation of arriving at 3377 Glen Eden Quay in Middle Plantation rises. Passing St. Nick’s Catholic Church, Kings Grant Presbyterian, the Little Neck Swim & Racquet Club, Kings Grant Baptist, and VBFD’s Station 20, you turn right on Harris Road then right on Glen Eden.

You park your car in the deep, attached two car garage, but want to make the “grand entrance” at the front. You are home! Gleaming hardwood floors surround you. To the right is your living room with a large arched entry with columns to the family room.

You stroll to the left through the dining room, its table set for the upcoming Middle Plantation Roving Dinner, and into the kitchen which opens not only to the family room but also the breakfast nook, a full bath, and stairs to the 2nd floor. After that long flight back home, you fill your wine goblet with chilled Chardonnay, walk into the family room and step onto the deck. You gaze on the shimmering waters of your private pool…not quite the same as the Caribbean – for sure – but nonetheless, it’s all yours, secluded, quiet, beckoning…..

Back inside and heading toward the foyer staircase to the 2nd floor. You again delight at the flexibility and function that the floor plan of your home offers.

Upstairs you walk toward the master suite. In the master bedroom you gaze out the large windows at the azure waters of your pool. The master bath with its step in shower and twin sinks greet you. Unpacking can wait.

You quickly check on the other bedrooms on the 2nd floor, then return to the kitchen where you refill your glass and head to the pool to enjoy a long swim, the icy wine, and the afternoon breezes. Unpacking can wait.

While the beaches of the Caribbean isles were terrific, there’s no place like home in Virginia Beach…especially in your new home in the quiet privacy of the Little Neck Peninsula, Middle Plantation, and 3377 Glen Eden Quay.
